Menu Highlights: It’s hard to pick just one highlight – all our food was amazing! Our guests raved about our main courses of handmade cheese ravioli and beef striploin. The best part? Being the bride and groom, we were able to have portions of both! We also had three guests who were vegan and so offered them a vegan main course to accommodate them. These guests came up to me during the evening and said it was the best vegan meal they’ve ever had! That attention to detail by Tulips and Maple, just for a small number of our guests, really impressed us.

Personal Touches: We wanted to feature our basset hound in the wedding somehow, so we took black and white photos of him and ‘photoshopped’ each table number into these pictures. He was then in a picture frame on every table! We also picked all the music our DJ played, and turned the reception into an 80s dance party!

Best Moment: There are too many great moments to pick just one! We had most of our photos taken before the ceremony, and so had a “first reveal” moment instead of seeing each other for the first time at our ceremony. Having the chance to see each other all dressed up for the first time just the two of us was really special. We will also always remember the limo ride with our wedding party from the ceremony to the reception. We were all so excited and full of adrenaline, with champagne flowing and music blaring! It was great to have this small celebration with just a group of our closest friends. Finally, it was very surreal to look around the museum during dinner at all of our guest tables and decor, surrounded by the airplanes of the museum. We were amazed at how perfectly all of our planning and ideas for the reception had played out. The whole day was exactly as we’d imagined it.
